Core recreation offering now explored for all FuturEnergy Ireland wind farms

We are delighted to share the news that a core recreational offering is now considered for all FuturEnergy Ireland wind farms.

By working with the local community, we explore the potential of offering upgraded tracks and trails, viewing points, picnic spots, biodiversity areas, educational boards and car parks to create a space for everyone to get moving, get outdoors and savour the scenic views.

The video below captures Sliabh Bawn Wind Farm in Co Roscommon. Our team was involved in the recreation development at Sliabh Bawn before the Coillte Renewable Energy division transferred to FuturEnergy Ireland when it launched in late 2021. In 2022, the wind farm welcomed more than 25,000 visitors to its trails, outdoor gym, playground and picnic areas.
