FuturEnergy Ireland school climate change programmes reach 1,088 children in H1 2023

As schools close for the summer, it also marks the end of term for FuturEnergy Ireland’s education work. We are delighted to share the news that our climate change programmes and workshops reached more than 1,000 children across 29 schools between January and June this year. This impactful work included sponsored SteamEd ‘Climate-Action-in-a Box’ lessons and Learn Renewables workshops, both of which provide fun, hands-on opportunities for Ireland’s next generation to learn about climate change and climate action.

The FuturEnergy Ireland team have also shown a passion for educating this next generation about climate change and renewables by visiting their local schools and running sessions and workshops, accompanied by a wind farm visit where possible.

Many thanks to all the schools and teachers who have welcomed us and to the many inquisitive children who have shown such enthusiasm for climate matters during the workshops, including an ability to ask tough questions. Here’s to the next generation of climate activists and climate leaders!
