Congratulations to The Land Development Agency who won the Climate Action category at The Irish Planning Institute Awards last week. The award was proudly sponsored by FuturEnergy Ireland, who also recevied a nomination in the biodiversity category for the Carrownagowan Wind Farm project.
We chose to sponsor this category because it speaks directly to our core purpose and values as a renewable energy developer. We also firmly believe in the vital role planning and planning professionals play in addressing the climate crisis.
Ireland is at a pivotal moment in its renewable energy development journey, where planning legislation and climate action legislation must come together. Our national ambitions require equally bold and actionable regional strategies. Alignment on these fronts is needed to enable us to move from ambition to real, measurable progress. This awards ceremony brought together industry leaders who have the expertise and determination to make this happen.

We were also extremely proud to be nominated in the Biodiversity category for Carrownagowan Wind Farm, and extend our congratulations to SLR Consulting, Studio Aula and Haller Clarke Hurson, who won on the night for their Derryounce Lakes & Trails 10 Year Plan 2024-2034.
