FuturEnergy Ireland sponsors the Irish Planning Institute Annual Conference 2024

FuturEnergy Ireland was proud to sponsor the Irish Planning Institute 2024 annual conference which took place in Waterford City last week. Thank you to everyone who stopped at our stand to discuss renewable energy and learn more about what we do. 

The conference welcomed over more than 300 professionals from the planning, construction and sustainability sectors, including FuturEnergy Ireland’s Sinead O'Malley and Daniel Nestor (pictured). The event took place over two days, with an extensive agenda featuring industry experts and a general focus on sustainability.  

IPI president Gavin Lawlor said: “Planners know how to ensure the housing and infrastructure we need is delivered for the benefit of the environment and society and we need to be more assertive about the skills and knowledge we bring.”   

FuturEnergy Ireland is aware of the crucial role planners play in ensuring that Ireland’s infrastructure is delivered and we support the profession in its endeavours; in particular the roll-out of the Ministerial Action Plan referred to at the Conference and its aim to respond to capacity challenges in order to ensure Ireland has a sustainable pipeline of planning and related expertise into the future.
