Lenalea Wind Farm officially opens in Co Donegal

The weather gods were surely in a generous mood by providing fabulous weather to coincide with the official launch of Lenalea Wind Farm in Co Donegal.  Minister Charlie McConalogue, local elected representatives, community leaders and suppliers all gathered to show their support for the project and the wider wind industry. 
  
Lenalea, a seven turbine, 30MW co-development with SSE Renewables, is one of seven projects being delivered with SSER and the first to reach commercial operation. As Noel Cunniffe, CEO of Wind Energy Ireland highlights here, Ireland’s energy targets are ambitious, and we are going to need many more projects such as Lenalea in order to achieve them.
