News of emerging technology at the Energy Storage Ireland conference

FuturEnergy Ireland was one of the sponsors of the Energy Storage Ireland Conference 2023, where strong sessions on accelerating investment in storage and the emergence of exciting technologies highlighted the rate of growth in this fast-paced renewables sector.
As we transition to a power system with 80% renewables and beyond, the ability to bulk time-shift enormous amounts of energy from times of excess production to times of shortfall will become increasingly critical.
Our expert energy storage team, which includes Fionn McDonagh (above left) and Paul Blount (above right, pictured with project manager Shannen Healy at the conference) have been working hard to find a viable, long-lasting energy storage technology that will go a long way towards addressing Ireland’s energy needs. This is an exciting and progressive initiative that we hope to launch soon with our first battery energy storage project. Watch this space!
